Real-time algorithms for video summarization

An important number of methods for scene break detection and automatic video abstracting have been investigated in recent years. These methods have to detect two kinds of scene changes known as abrupt and gradual transition. The present study we present two old and reliable algorithms on which we brought modifications in order to reduce complexity while preserving the same accuracy and satisfy the real-time constraints of few multimedia applications.
